Amazing Race Application

Luke and I mailed in our application to be on Amazing Race season 15. We've talked about it for years and this time we finally did it. We're hoping we get picked, so keep your fingers crossed for us! Let us know what you think about the video I made...I hope you enjoy it!

It's Dad's Turn

We've introduced Grace to the bottle before, but she used to really fight it. 

"Why would I want that old milk when I can get it directly from the cow?"

But, she's become more patient in her old age. Now she's getting used to a bottle from Dad in the evenings. Won't this be great for Grandpa, Nanny Lulu and Gramma Korky? They have been dying to babysit, but we want it to be a pleasant experience for them. In the past, Grace SCREAMED and protested taking a bottle from anyone. 

A happy grandparent + Grace taking a bottle = Mom maybe getting that LONG awaited double vodka martini! (and maybe a date night with Luke)

Julia came for a visit and brought Grace a new friend. Meet Teddy Ruxbin! It was a brand new one, but just like the ones from when we were young!

Gardner Family New Year's

We were lucky to have Grace's grandparents and Aunt Meredith come up to the windy city to celebrate New Year's. We had a wonderful time relaxing together and eating lots of yummy meals by Grandpa Doc. Leslie had so much fun watching Grace's photo-shoot I did in the living room. We just laughed so much together! What a fun holiday season with all of our family (we missed you Uncle Brandon and Aunt Piggy!). It was so much fun to have our parents stay with us at the new Gardner Motel. Please make your reservations now, and we'll leave the light on for you!
